Great time in Keukenhof and convenient transportation!
Had a great time in Keukenhof! The tulips fields were in full bloom, we got a lot of great photos and were really glad to see the tulips blossom while in the Netherlands! I highly recommend this ticket because it includes transportation, and we were able to decide when we wanted to leave, so we had time to have lunch in one of the restaurants.
Perfect day out in nature
This was a welcome change after spending a few days in Amsterdam. It was lovely to spend the afternoon in nature and not only enjoy the views but also the scent of all the flowers. I recommend just walking around and seeing the Keukenhof flowers displayed in the pavilions, but don’t worry, you will simply stumble upon them as you walk around. That’s what we did!

ENTER THE SPRING GARDEN
The Keukenhof Garden is a beautiful Spring garden where visitors can enjoy seeing one of the symbols of the Netherlands - colorful tulips in full bloom! The gardens are also richly decorated with crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths, lawns, and water fountains, and you can spot a windmill, too. A visit to the Keukenhof Gardens is a great opportunity to get that perfect photo while in the Netherlands! There are a few pavilions at the Keukenhof Gardens, where stunning flowers are arranged into beautiful displays.
NEW DESIGNS & SCULPTURES
Keukenhof is never the same! It is redesigned every year, so every new visit brings a fresh perspective and something new to explore. The flowers are in bloom for about eight weeks, making for a spectacular and fleeting show of colors. The gardens are also dotted with sculptures, so you can also view some great art. Keukenhof also attracts royals. To celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2024, Princess Margriet opened a concert in the gardens.
KEUKENHOF’S HISTORY
Believe it or not, the history of the Keukenhof Gardens dates back to the 15th century when Countess Jacqueline of Bavaria used the area as a hunting ground. Keukenhof Castle was built in 1641, and its gardens were redesigned following the English garden design in 1857. The idea to make Keukenhof a spring park was born in 1949 and it was opened the following year and instantly became popular. The windmill you can see at Keukenhof is over a hundred years old.
